Hi mushroom maniac!

  • Are you looking forward for a camping week full of non stop mushroom geeking and a lot of new fungi friends?

  • Come to Camping Cantharel and spread your mycelial network to have fun, learn and connect!

  • This camping week is a 'burn': everyone contributes and helps co-create this festival.

  • 🍄 Location: tbd.

Programme

During this week we'll enjoy a range of activities, from field trips, seminars, ID-sessions, fungi food & drinks, cultivation, to ps*chedelics. Programme is to be determined, but this is an example of 2025, when we spent just a weekend together.

In short, Camping Cantharel is a large number of fungi professionals and lovers in one spot, close to a pristine fungi forest!

Expect to meet your new best friends, mentors and apprentices.

Code of conduct

We aim this festival to be free of racism, sexism, ableism, classism, zionism and basically all forms of bigotry or violence. If you feel resistance to this phrase, this festival might not be for you. We aim for everyone, regardless, to feel welcomed sharing their knowledge, their questions, their experiences. Please feel empowered to call out any of the above if experienced yourself or seen happening, whether in person, or to our Wellbeing team (Chef Sarah + tbd). They offer a listening ear and will help come up with a plan. Anyone who transgresses this code of conduct is removed from the festival, without reimbursement.
In this field dominated by white men, we encourage them to leave space for others, and we applaud women, non-binary and queer folk, people of colour, to take up space and blossom. We welcome parents+kids and childfree folk alike.
Outsiders, and Camping Cantharel, try to divest from capitalism, imperialism and colonialism. For instance, we refrain from using AI, welcome real artists and thought, we hope you’ll share rides or come by train+bike, and we’ll separate waste at the festival and so on. We leave no trace, how can we leave this space better? We hope you’ll help us in this mission. Let’s uplift each other. We acknowledge we can do better in making everyone feel welcome at CC. Please (please!) feel free to share any improvement that we can make in this light. If you want to say anything anonymous, leave an envelope/note to Sarah in the kitchen.

Food & drinks

Meals

There will be some awesome chefs who will be arranging breakfast, lunch and dinner for a small fee to cover the groceries. If you don’t want to join the food offered, you can of course bring your own food & drinks.

Coffee & tea

We will arrange kitchen gear and ingredients to make basic coffee & tea, but please help us host, by making coffee & tea whenever it’s finished. Also, bring fancy beans or nice herbal blends to share! Snacks and fruits are very welcome, please bring anything you want to share <3.

Bar

Byo! There will be a shared bar to exchange cool recipes, so bring your nice brews, cocktail ingredients, lemonades etc.
